State Report Information
April 10, 2008
Dear Fifth Grade Parents,
Our English class is starting an exciting unit on state reports. This will be an excellent opportunity for your child to learn how to do research, organize information, take notes, write footnotes, create a bibliography, use the internet, meet deadlines, and complete a first-rate report.
The attached packet is full of information about writing a report. Please help your child keep this information in a safe place so that he/she can refer to it when preparing the report. Please note: there will be times when your child will be asked to bring the packet to class for reference since we will be going over all the information in class.
Class time will be provided for about 30% of the work, the rest will be done at home. Please help your child set aside time each day for working on the project.
Thank you for your continued support and interest in your child’s work.
Blessings,
Mariann Raymond
